whats the best biocide that gives quickest results

algo clear pro

benz

soft wash pro 50

also do u need to add a surfactant to these or is it used on its own with water?

you just add water, ive used algo clear pro and its great , being a cheapskate ive just got some from softwash solutions cos its much cheaper but ive been following a fb post where it hasn't worked so im now wishing id stuck with algo clear pro

That's the burning question, I'm looking at this new companies stuff that's just joined the forum,,, aims cleaning hub. Going to give there Biocide a go very soon! image.png

algo clear seems the be the bench mark of biocides ive got some benz biocide and sprayed my roof just wating to see the resaults lol as yet not much change but its only bin a few weeks

i wouldn't say they're no use but the bloke who sells softwash used to work with the bloke who owns algo clear pro so id say those 2 are definitely the top 2, aims hub seem to sell a lot of good stuff but they're selling everything and they've not been around that long, softwash solutions and algo clear are more specialised

i saw that post too simon, the guy used the biocide from softwash solutions-it didn't work as quick as he liked if i remember so he hypo'd it-that didn't work so he pressured washed it-that didn't work either,i remember a photo he posted and it looked like soot/roadside dirt etc non of the above would work in that situation i feel where steam could well work in cleaning it,

i have some softwash solutions biocide and the eco one but i just prefer to use benz biocide it costs so little compared to the amount you can charge for applying it why skrimp and save a few quid?,going back to re-apply costs a whole lot more than saving a couple of quid on biocide

yeah i agree really, its just my first 5ltrs of algo clear pro cost about £100 delivered and although it worked great i got 20ltrs of softwash solutions for about £130 i think and up till that post i'd seen good reviews of it . red algae isn't very common near me but i've just found 2 small estates with 4/5 houses each with it and i want to give a good impression on the first job . if i get them, just goes to show if you find something good stick with it
