Scrim or Microfibre?

WCF

Help Support WCF:

When I was first doing windows the old trad way back in the day,no squeegee. Scrim was the go to cloth, and you boiled them a couple of times after buying them.

When I started again bought pre washed thinking they were just good to go. Did not boil them as Clisty1989 suggested so not getting best from them.

What are we classing as scrim and microfibre? I just started on my own coming from a big company full of old boy windys who all called things different names. I class scrim as the fine netting linen cloths & microfibres as the smooth thick glass cloths. Iv heard some referring to microfibres as those normal dish cloth microfibres, which you can detail a couple of windows with they don't last long at all. I use those 'microfibres/dishcloths' as sill cloths currently but I'm thinking of just cutting up an old bath towel
