Hypo mix % question two dilutions

A very weak mix of less than 1%, your first mix comes out at around 2.5% which is also a fairly weak mix and is one i would use for fairly lightly soiled areas. Most people use a mix of around 4 - 5%.

However if your quite happy with the results that your getting then stick with it, you can always use a stronger mix on stubborn areas.

Hope this helps.

wel i wwud see that as 25%

1 hypo part

3 water part

and if u upped it to the aboeve suggestion u woulkd be using 40 litres hypo to 60 litres of water

now on roofs for a fast result i would use your 1;3  mix       but i know if i use 1;6 it will be fine

on the likes of fences and walls etc it would be even  weaker

so maybe in my years of doing it i have been a tight **** with the hypo

@Green Pro Clean Ltd what u think

I think I aint got a clue.

15 % (farm hypo)

20 L mixed with 60L. 3/1 gives a reduction to 3.25% hypo.

That mix at 1/5l gives you 0.704% hypo.  Less than a bottle of domestos.
I did struggle with some red algae then upped it a bit and it came off in the end.  Seems to work with green and black on dead flat plaster but needs more strength for pebbledash type finish.  Just wanted to know what I end up with % wise, seen may different maths on this subject!

Hold on a minute. Surely 20l hypo to 60ltr water making a 3to1 mix surely makes 5%

Then5% @ 5to1 makes 1% which is as mMrGreen said is less than domestos.
But 0.704% isnt right is it?
I could be wrong as it has been a long day and headvis a bit fried.

No as the hypo is only 11% to start with

Dilute that 3 to 1 means diluting the 11% to 2.75%

Then he is diluting 5 to 1 by using 5l of that mix and 25l water on site which gives a final strength of 0.458% in my head

So only half a percent strength

Cleaner windows 5% mixed 5 to 1 would be under 1% as you need the correct maths

5:1

5+1 = 6

5 ÷ 6 = 0.833 and that is without the correct starting strength

Right.. i was assuming it was originally a 15% hypo.

Dave what ratio would it be to get a 4%mix from 25ltr of 15% hypo?

25l 15% should make 100l of 4%

Actually it would make 3.75% but near enough.. to be bang on you would need 26.6l of hypo to make 100l
