Tap TDS readings

Evening all,

Only started up few months ago but my tap TDS readings are baffling me. I can check tap water one minute and the reading will be 95ppm and then when I check 30 minutes later the tap TDS reading will be showing 150ppm. Is it normal for readings to fluctuate so much? Cheers

I've tested mine between 98 and 216

Just moved house, kitchen tap 144 outside tap 113

Next day kitchen tap 126

Mine fluctuates from 55ppm to 70ppm.

I live within 5 miles of the reservoir that provides my water. Not sure if this makes a difference.

Take the measurement from a larger sample size like 10+ litres taken slowly over a few minutes, should give you a better average.

Mine between 270 - 320 

65-78 from kitchen, 118 from bathroom sink 124 from bath

Have you still got lead pipes  :1f632: To get that variation it looks like you have contamination somewhere. Do you run the tap for 30 seconds before you test?

Copper, but bit old, no about 10-15 seconds
