Gloves

This time of year to keep warm or warmish, important to keep your head warm (80% heat loss is through top of your head I think) and also looking after your extremities,particularly your hands. Have bought and been using Skytec Argon gloves from Screwfix, very happy with them, does job for me.

Any other windies tried them? or other makes they recommend?

I also grow a beard, really helps to keep the North Easterly winds off the neck and face. Wife not very happy though.

I picked two pair up from the counter at screwfix last week .i think they are called Siberian . Nice and warm and good to work in . £6 apair I think .

I use sealskinz performance activity gloves. There not cheap but are great.

Worth every penny.

Skytec Argon Xtra gloves are a whole load better as they have been fully dipped so the whole outer is waterproof, I bought some off Gardiners last year but they have updated them this year and can be bought of http://amazon.co.uk for £9.99

I never use Anything but mechanics gloves , thin glove with rubber on the palms . Its an all year thing though.

They are a load better mate more so if working on cold wet days the other ones end up damp and resulting in cold hands

Popped into Screwfix today and had a look. They don't seem to have the Skytec ones but they have the Siberian ones so bought a couple of pairs. Very impressed for £6. Warm, water resistant and flexible. Ideal.

Noticed they don’t do the Siberian ones in extra large.
