Has anyone suffered carbon poles splitting when using 5 or more poles for two storey attic gutters..? And I use the house to lean the poles on while extending. Also it handles like **** when extended to the point of embarrassing. Fuming.

Are the alloy poles any better at same length..?

No mate mine a 100% stable but grippa I believe develop their poles with Gardiner's so they are really good my version are tapered and clamped so I never have any problems.

Yes, had one carbon fibre split on us, (hairline split around 3 inches) just wrapped black insulation tape around  the tube and its still perfectly useable ?

handle pretty poor the further you go up yes so watch out for wind. Try lifting the metallic ones though...i dread to think how heavy they are and the damage they would do if they came down on top  of a car.

Yes, I've had 4 split now, the worst was the one joined to the flexi pipe from hoover which is always used .. 8 splits.. anyway sent it back as it wasn't fit for purpose.
Now looking at Skyvac or Gutter vacuum which is 4200watts both with 100% carbon fibre poles.
