After a nice year of trading and being honest proud of what's been achieved no complaints etc all year was doing my dear customers and one customer who is fairly new but if honest know the person for years ( young and mouthy)

. After doing her windows knocking the first time no answer continuing and finishing then knocking again no answer the proceeding to post receipt. Later that evening I received a message on messenger on fb saying have you been today you've left my f''ing side gate open my dogs got out etc . You shouldn't be letting yourself into peoples propertys and them going mental . She later proceeds to screen shot the conversation and posting it on Facebook

Have anyone else had this problem and will it damage my business ?

Sounds a lovely woman , u haven’t said anything wrong I’m sure the vile creature won’t affect ur business one bit

Classy customer eh?. That's the type of customer I avoid Facebook for.
At the end of the day even if you did leave the gate open which I don't think you did (it could have been a leafletter or postman), it is down to the customer to make sure that gate is closed (I do with my dog).
Also given this customer type did it really happen? And she might be just trying to screw you out of your tenner.
The joys of window cleaning.

I honestly think she's tried to get away with it and can't afford it if honest I have respect and sympathy for customers i do and always think customer is right but ..
My family's picture is on my Facebook my daughter and child then it gets serious

I wouldn't worry about it mate

I would block her so she can't see when you post to make comment on it and just carry on

Her having a rant is not gonna end up with you down the job centre

Make sure you go knock her door for the tenner though

Mate she's the type to swing for me lol can't exactly react to her if honest I've blocked her now etc but it just riles you up this window cleaning game is so picky lol

I agree it's not the money, but the criticism and vile language you don't need on a family site.
It does attract a lot of pretty unpleasant people though.

Also her language and attitude shows her to be the nasty person

Who would you be sympathetic to if you randomly read that conversation

I would be on the side of the guy getting sworn at and abused

It will not affect your business in the slightest, if anything it will improve it as you won't get a call from her numpty friends. One of the things I like about this trade is how anonymous it is. When I ran a handyman business I had to please every single customer out of fear of a bad name. Almost all work was from word of mouth. But with window cleaning it's a lot different. Work comes in from all over the place. Just move on to the next and forget about it. Another reason I stay away from facebook/forums etc for my advertising.

Yeah it's very competitive my way and if honest customers know they have a edge I know what you mean I don't care about losing her thou

Yeah they're going to have vile sprogs as well, not a lot we can do.
Anyway we've all had run ins with bad customers and it does grate, but for every bad one there are a hundred good ones so I concentrate on that.

First thing to do is pull up her facebook profile, then there is an small options button.  Select block and ban from page.

This will prevent here being able to talk sh@@e on your page.

Next.  Forget about it and move on.  as Tuffers says wont affect it in the slightest.

Also any one that knows here will already 'know her' and hence her opinion carries no weight.

It's competitive everywhere mate. A lot of that is likely just your perception as you're advertising on facebook you get to see the others at work hussling for customers.
