Hi folks

Is 54 too old to get started in this game. Recently been made redundant and decided I want to do something for myself going forward.

Thanks in advance

Not at all I’ve been helping my father in law get up a running the last few months and he’s 58 and loves it but he doesn’t need to earn a lot of money so he’s not under a lot of pressure. I think the key when starting out is to be realistic about what your going to earn and enjoy building something for yourself instead of working for someone else [emoji2]

79 and stil tradding awesome!!
Hope I don't have to be working at his age but with the way it's going pension wise this could be a glimpse of the future for us all.

No it aint, your body isn,t as it was 30years ago though....and the years of wear on your knees will tell you that when your squatting to do bottom of doors etc.

79 and still trad cleaning fair play to him but out of all the window cleaners out their not many will be able to carry on at that age at 54 i would go for trad bottoms and try and water fed pole tops using a back pack it will be easier on the body and safer at 54 and just starting out do you really want use ladders all day.

I'm 60 years of age started window cleaning last July 2017 a friend of mine helped me a lot with equipment. I've got about a base of 160 customers through canvassing and being given about 40 customer to start got about 2 full days a week at the moment but growing slowly .
I'm canvassing regularly about 2-3 days a week. I left market/social research and haven't looked back.
