Ramsay ladders better than normal ladders or not?

Yes I have Ramsay ladders Bob. They are solid! So I'd say they will be heavier than other brands, which has obvious pro's and obvious con's, so you got to weigh it up.

For me personally I'd rather put up with the extra weight knowing I'm working on something that's bomb proof. I bought mine too big deliberately, as they had a splayed bottom section on them, that was no good to me,as I needed to fit a basemate too them.

I've also fitted two telescopic stabiliser arms to the sides making them super safe!

I can imagine that they will last much longer than cheaper, lighter ladders too?
When I started up,I bought a cheap pair from ebay, but it wasn't too long before I got too nervous to work on them! Far too much bendy stuff going on! [emoji15]

Yeah there are some things you don't want cheap. Ladders are one of them. They need to be strong and safe :)

Yes they are exelent ladders we have them in 3 . 3.5 4 and 5 meter doubles generally only use the 3.5 now that’s in the van all the time and used for access as we are wfp , when I started 20 years ago trad this was the ladders I used , bit heavier than other ladders but very stable wouldn’t want to use any other

If Ramsay brought out an A frame ladder with d shaped rungs I reckon they would be on to a winner.

I started out with Ramsay round rung ladders and there was always one rung that spun when you stepped on it.

Got rid and went with Youngman square rungs and regretted it.

Back to Ramsay and the d rung ladder and perfection.

Solid ladders and quite possibly the finest thing to come out of Forfar bar the Bridie.
