Work when you can, if it's light rain then work. Even if it's heavy as long as it's not windy then I'll continue to work. Some customers might complain, if they do assure them it doesn't matter and if, when they're dry, they aren't clean you will redo them. Never been called back yet.

Aye it rubbish this week.

I just try and do something, a half days work is better than nothing.

Cleaned 100 quid this morning and now I'm on my way home, what can you do? Worrying about it won't change it so just have to make sure on the good days I'm working till 4-5 to compensate for the odd half days here and their..rain has got heavier and now its coming sideways so that's usually a sign to stop for me.

worst month of the year when the rain is constant and side ways what do you guys do on these days lol

Visit your nan, service your pressure washer, go to the bank, paperwork, check stock, order stock, chase late payments, watch footy, try and fight off the fact that you’re slowly but surely going crackers...

Its a mind over matter thing if you don't mind it don't matter, you have to keep a positive mental attitude even on the bad days some days have to be written off but if their is break in the weather then get out and crack on.

Last month I had to knock off 3 times in the same street in one day because of high winds, rain and sleet but I still managed to get through most of my work that day clients very rarely bat an eyelid if at home and most aren't .

I've been ill last few days, usually I'd be out anyway, but its given me the perfect excuse to stay in, and recover, if the sun was out, and it was calm id have been out working no matter how bad I was, but im not pushing myself in this. Windy as hell here today, if it dies down a bit by lunchtime ill go out, if not ill start back fresh tomorrow, one more day of recovery from flu AND gastroenteritis (nasty combo!!) would probably be beneficial.

Easy not to get stressed at times but, if you but just do the best you can . I am out so it's OK for me but still loads of people off work I have had to drive out of streets because it's impossible to get parked or get some work done as driveways are rammed with cars with the overspill onto roads.

Try not to think about what the client(s) thinks about you, That is the one thing that can defeat you mentally either way whether stuck in at home or out working in bad weather. Just try to maintain a positive frame of mind and you will win through overtime.

Yesterday was torrential rain all day so wrote it off and did some chilling.  A little paperwork and a lot of gaming.

Rough days are ideal to put on the coco, break out the laptop and get the round revised....  'oh look on the second Monday im finished by 12 noon so I can canvass up a couple hours more work for that day'   'Ah yes, Dorris at 73 still hasn't learnt to pick up dog poo, time to remove her from round'  'That one job in Oldsville is priced right but not when it's by itself and 30 mins each way. Let's see where I can canvass some more in the area or find a local windy to pass it off to'

Ahh... Her Majesty wants the coffers filling soon.... best get the tax return done.

Always something to do.
