I officially start with my first clients tomorrow! I have 3 first cleans totalling £45 which I think is realistic for a first timer with a bit of spare time.

As I do not drive, I've created the 'Windymobile' capable of being walked by hand or mounted on the back of my bicycle!

I've managed to fit everything I need and I still have room to take my gutter cleaning tools if required!

What do you all think?

Mate I gotta say "hats off to you".
A lot of folk want the whole shabang before they even have the 1st clean.
You've obviously got determination.
Hope it all goes well for you and don't give up it will be worth it in the end.
What area you cleaning as guessing it will be local.

Thank you kindly!
Yes my rounds are local. Focusing on everywhere within about 1 mile from home. Getting quite a good response. Have 4 confirmed clients and visiting a couple of promising ones tomorrow. We all have to start somewhere after all!

Absolutely pal and good on you for trying. Reckon the country would be in a better place if more had your attitude.

I genuinely love it! I bet you'll be kept busy once people have seen you going about your rounds. Certainly eye catching enough

certainly ain't hauling a 18.5kg 3 section 7m ladder on my shoulder I tell you that now! Haha

needed something I could haul it around with without a car and this is what I came up with!

whole starting up with everything I needed was about 450. literally no need to buy anything else now until I actually need it!

Good on ya mate. When I started out I couldn't drive and had my first round in the village I grew up in so it would be ladder over shoulders with bucket and beer crate in the other hand for tops of bay windows and some lower windows.

My wife would drive me to a few jobs further afield and sit in the car and wait for me, we never had mobile phones back then

I think my missus would kill me if I asked her to drive me around! This is the much safer option haha. I can always sort out the bicycle mount to go a bit further afield if I really needed to... keeping my regular round close by. more happy to go further for my one off £50+ guttering jobs though!

Fair play to you. After your 1st cleans

A tip from me would be if you use boab you won't need to fill that 25l container.

Quarter full should last a morning. Couple of inches in bottom of bucket.

Should make it lighter.

Best of luck.

a successful first day! 65 quid in the bag. one of my clients gave me a £20 top on top of the £21 they paid! was a harder job than I anticipated. their downstairs windows were easy. the upstairs ones looked like they hasn't been done in more than a few years! should have taken some pictures really!

I can remember my first day testing the waters and realising I could make a living out of window cleaning,  no doubt that first £65 has given you the same confidence. Great feeling being the master of your own destiny. Go for it!
