So since about October I've been making an effort to post a flyer to the neighbour's door wherever I'm working.

It does bring in work.

Anyway pushed the flyer through grrr snap !! Little yappy dog nearly takes my index finger!!

Only just got me but one of those little cut that keep bleeding!

So any advice on how far should one put ones hand through the letter box???

Fold the flyer over your fingers then you'll be safe ?
Had one recently think it was a little yappy dog. Must of been sat waiting, as soon as I put my hand through letterbox it locked onto to my fingers. Luckily I always put the flyers bent over my fingers so I got bit but never broke the skin.

Ive had bad experiences with letterboxes and dogs when posting flyers. I make a note now of houses where problems have occured and took to flyering those the American Way 'door hangers' - hole punch flyers and loop an elasic band through then hang them over the door handle

My neighbour moaned today at me about my dog. He shouted “oi, your dog has been chasing my son on his bike”

I said “my dog can’t ride a bike “ ??

Mates missus does avon etc and uses a little flat piece of plywood almost as wide as a letterbox to push leaflets through

Also the leaflet goes through perfectly flat and crease free

Handy when you know dogs are about for invoices etc

Leave it hanging out front of letter box, dogs chew them to bits and customer is ten times more likely to take notice of it when they come home & go “whats this **** now” rather than finding it inside on the floor amongst all the other junk or chewed to pieces by their dog in which case your business is lost anyway
