We've always had great service from Numax batteries even although they don't like their batteries being used in window cleaning environments @tench0771

This model CXV31MF is dual application battery.

Its a leisure battery but also can be used as a starter battery as well (800 cold cranking amps.)

So this will more than cater for the additional high current draw of an electric hose reel. However, Numax do not give warranty on batteries used by window cleaners as they group as together as battery abusers.

But there is another windie on the other forum who brought one over Christmas and its already 'failed'. He now has bought himself a 12v Trojan 150 amp. The cheapest price I could see for one was £250. They gave him a years warranty as a window cleaner. Surprising as I get 3 years on average from my batteries.

Yes. That's what I do every night, especially in the winter, even with a split charge relay. You have to keep these batteries fully charged ASAP.

Saying that, we still have an 85 amp Numax which is 6 years old. SIL used it and I lost count of the number of times he had a short day as his battery was flat. He wasn't the most conscientious about bench charging his battery.

The cleaner who bought that Trojan paid £220 so they must have 'done him a deal' on his Numax.
