Gutter vac hose length question

I’ve just received a 50mm smooth bore hose for the gutter vac I’m purchasing shortly, the hose has come in a 50ft length, I know this is too long & I’ll loose suction at that length, can anyone advise on the longest length I can use without compromising performance, would 25ft be ok?

Cut it in half 25ft will be plenty you won't have to keep moving the vac all the time.
Keep the other half as a spare or sell it on .

Thank you Big sul, sounds like good advice! I shall chop @ 25ft & store the off cut in the shed with the rest of my clutter ?

I have a ten meter length on mine it saves moving the the vac to much and don’t notice any loss of suction Evan when I use it on the little 1800 watt vac , where did you buy your hose as mine is starting to split at the ends and keep cutting bits off so could do with replacing it ?
