Difference between hard & soft rubbers (squeegees)

Hi all, i’m doing more trad work on downstairs windows lately, i have a various array of squeegees which are mostly hard type rubbers. Is cleaning with soft rubbers any easier, i’m guessing maybe less pressure can be applied with a soft rubber fitted?

Softer rubber tends to be a lot easier to use, especially in colder weather, however wear a lot faster.
