Black hand

Anybody else get black hands while using gardiner poles? Any ideas to stop this?

Thanks. Have slx n xtreme poles. Seems to happen when the pole sections get wet. Then when your extending them hands get black.

Or give them a very light dusting of lacquer every now and then - other than that agree with tuffers!

Regular cleaning and drying off helps, but it's a side effect of any pole work. 

I used to clean trad with unger poles all day, and my hands did look like a car mechanic most of the time.

In winter time i use gloves all the time so don't notice it much.

i found my latest slx is really bad for it, 6 months old.

it semed to be drying my hands out and leaving some itchy fibres in them too so i started using these and been a treat, really strong gloves that last a few days a pair.
