I’m going to look at Citroen dispatch 100,500 miles 2008 payload 1988kg this weekend what would this be worth?

suspose to be in good condition with service history and full mot.

im wanting a 500l two man system so hoping this will be ok.

Only problem I've had with mine is dodgy electrics as the batterys under your feet which is silly I've flooded my van 3 times forgetting to turn of the water and this battery compartment gets filled with water ive now drilled drain holes in mine. Electrics arnt the best sometimes my wipers and lights come on for no reasom so have to disconnect the battery. Ive had no real problems with my 2.0 hdi although i had 2 new drive shafts this week but thats just wear and tear. Just make sure you service it as i had loads of problems from a dodgy mechanic who serviced my van wrong. All fixed now tho and i only use a citreon specialist garage from now on.

Recently had water pump thermostat and cam belt done, bit concerned now the the 1.6 won’t have enough power although all my work is very local and 50% rural the other 50% is only 2 mile drive, don’t have to negotiate any fast road, roundabouts etc.

Trust me youll hate it after a while i had the older version just a 1.9 diesel non turbo as my first van it was a work horse and never let me down but i was so chuffed when i got my new van 2.0 hdi and still isnt the fastest but does just what i need. Youll find it just wont have the power up hills and pulling off roundabout with all the weight a 600 litre tank weighs 600kg that's over half a ton plus you all your other gear and ladders its a lot. For example when i had the driveshafts done he had to drain all my water as hiz 3 ton ramp could handle it but said it was going up at a right strange angle. Honest dont rush into it as i hated having a underpowered van i had to literally floor every where.

Sounds good tho and had all the essentials done no need to change glow plugs untill you have trouble starting in the mornings. I like my dispatch and love the 3 seats in the front they come in handy. When i did research the engines designed by ford. French cars get some stick but i paid 10k for my van so not cheap wish i had gone for a transit now tho but vans are mega expensive cauze most you have to pay vat

Yeah I want a 500l 2 man system which will probably be 600kg when full,  me and my son combined is 200kg so doesn’t keave much for diesel and equip.

This is a private sale no vat £2300 but hopefully get for less.

the only problem apparantanly is the passenger electric window button missing from passenger side.

You could get a vivaro for the same money mate

Easily put a 650 tank in that with weight to spare

Yeah your right but I wanted the van to physically be as smaller as it can but still hold a two man system, the system I want is a 500l waterworks 2 man system with hd reels.

Don't get the 1.6 its a **** engine.

The vans themselves are really nice to drive but get the 2.0

Either that or get the older shape which were more reliable and better built. Either the 2.0 hdi or the 1.9d

I had a 2008 1.6 and I went through a gearbox a turbo and injector failure in 2 years. Plus really underpowered, would avoid in future

Thanks Adam, looks like I will give it a miss , also been considering the Vauxhall combo or fiat doblo 1000kg versions.

If you just do window cleaning I would say either would be ok.

I have a Peugeot partner which is similar size to the combo. It has an 850 payload. I have been using it as 2 man setup for last two weeks and have been coping. Size wise it's perfectly fine for 500 tank, 2 reels a backpack and a few spares, cloths, trad gear etc but would be a struggle of you had gutter vac/pressure washer etc.

Weight wise I would say the 850 I have is really too small for 2 men. I estimate we are about 800kg with a full 500 tank, this lasts us about 5-6 hours . A 1000kg payload would be ideal. I was looking at the new shape combo/kangoo/doblos myself. But I went and bought an old combo van for 500 quid lol and and am setting up a second system for employee .

Yes I have a connect 900kg at the moment with a comapact 325 and nano trolley with two working out of it, but really wanted something a little bigger not, not much bigger if that makes sense lol also the other 100kg wouldn’t go a miss, the only concern is they mostly have the 1.3 engine and dont know if that’s good enough for a 500l tank.
