After the snow dirty windows

Snow collects muck on it's way down, it's not clean like rain, and now, especially with the strong winds, the windows are going to be dirty next week. At least the custies will be happy to see us. I remember before when we've had bad snows.

First day back and 1/2 hour into my round and got an ex customer ask me to come back and do theirs as the previous cheap window cleaner who'd canvassed it off me had let them down. Of course I will....for a premium.

I bet you (dmw) felt like saying no thanks! But you can say there's been a price rise and squeeze a £1 or 2 out of them. That's the problem wi cheap cleaners, there is no incentive for them to be reliable. The guy that used to do ours, came when he needed money and left a 3 month gap. Every month he loses a customer to me because I'm reliable and dearer. I then realised the customer wants reliability above all else, then quality and then price.

The couple that I took back on were previously quite nice anyway, I increased the price but didn't feel the need to explain myself, nor did they ask, they just want clean windows and as you say reliability is the key.

When I buy something big now, I always think about the aftersales. Know all about lifetime guarantees and then the company gets dissolved and pops up with an s added to the same name. Always seem to be limited companies!

Personally, I would think very hard about taking them on, it really depends if it's advantageous to you.

I think it's worth doing as I do next door either side, and another 30+ on that road so I'm just consolidating, previously they were o,k. and paid on time, I was quite surprised when they ditched me. But I'm fair and I'll give them a second chance.

Been there only to be axed again many months later for another low-baller.. the price increase I got for the months I did clean them again cushioned the blow.. still, highly annoying but they have defiantly got the red card this time haha

I got two called back to two jobs first day back after the snow.  Spotting.

Checked everything on the system. All good. Went back and redid the offending windows (just 1 on each house)

1 above a conservatory and the other just a regular bedroom window.

Now I clean quick and don't believe in rinsing for maintenance cleans but all I can put this down to was not enough rinse.

First time I ever cleaned after such snow.  Next time I will rinse more after heavy snows.

Could be all manner of things, frustrating to have to go back.
Do you not rinse on any maintenance cleans???
