6mm OR 8mm HOSE?

It's thinner.

Plus sides:

You'll fit more on a reel.

It can be more flexible. (?)

Negative sides:

You'll drain your battery faster due to needing more power to push the water through a smaller opening.

Potentially lower pressure at brush head.

EDIT: Less robust than 8mm.

Some people on here seem to get by with it just fine. Personally I want to conserve battery life and like the more beefy hose so it can withstand cars and trucks driving over it.

I’ve used both, much prefer 6mm as it’s easier to manage. Otherwise can’t say I’ve ever noticed much difference switching between them.

 
We have both you do get better flow with 8 but 6 is far liter easier to manage if I had to chose one over the other for domestic work it would be 6 if large commercial only with little dragging round corners then 8 : but 6 is probably the best choise overall
