My backpacks controller has started playing up and for a water genie one it's nearly £15!! Anybody know of where I can get one a bit cheaper as it's a lot of money in my mind for what it is, and if I can find a cheaper one I'd rather do that. If not I'll get one, just trying to be a cheapskate  :1f61c:

If the backpack is under a year old it will be covered under warrenty. My speed controller packed up and window cleaning warehouse sent the part out free with only a few weeks left of the warranty. You can buy a PWM controller on ebay for a few pound however you may have to work out how to wire it up and also these are not sealed so exposed to the moisture. If you buy the correct part from where you got your back pack from you know it will fit and is a sealed unit. Its also a tax deductible expense

Simple. Works wonders. I've been using one for several years with zero issues.

But if you want less fiddling about just buy the official spare part and clean another house instead.

A PWM controller such as the one linked to above will also maximise the use of the battery capacity which is very helpful when using a small battery such as those used in most backpacks. I use one on my trolley and get a full days use out of a 7ah battery and my trolley gets heavy use as my round is very compact.

I agree perfectly suitable for the job. Since my digital flow control was being temperamental I purchased one like this, fixed it in a small Tupperware wear box wired it up and been using it daily. My digital flow controller wasn’t happy because my battery wasn’t holding a strong charge so fitted the analog one above and found it less fussy and performs as it should. Good reliable and extra low cost.
