Good evening fellow windies.

One of my univalves has been playing up recently. I have to yank the hose several times to get it to work, where as my other univalves in my other poles still working fine.

Its quite old, so fitted a new one, all working fine.

Before I bung the old one away, just wanted to ask, has anyone taken one of these apart to fix it?

If so, how did you dismantle it and repair it please?

I had a univalve but never installed it and gave it to a friend. I believe there are some small tabs you can press with a screwdriver and pull the top off, of my memory serves me right from a YouTube video I saw a while back.

As for repairing it, I don't have anything to add, sorry.

I had a univalve with similar problems as you described, took it apart as per what nudel said.

There is a Spring inside and an o ring, cleaned it all up, put some silicone grease on the o ring and all worked fine for about a week or more, but then back to same problems. Binned it and replaced with a new one.

I got 18 months out of the last one so can’t really complain.
