Hello guys,

Just seeing what’s the best diy option to seal my vans floor, It is ply lined already.

I understand this may have been covered already but can’t seem to find the topic.

Iv been researching and like the idea of the Protectakote.

The plan is to take the ply up, clean the floor, give a couple of coats.

Any advice would be great full, thanks.

Its pretty straightforward. Seal any cracks/holes/edges (I use fiberglass) then paint with your waterproofing of choice (I use Isoflex liquid rubber). The idea is to tank it out so that any spilt water won't make its way into the van chassis and rust it from the inside out.

You can always lift the ply, put down some polystyrene insulation and put the ply back down before sealing it to help insulate the back.
