Anchor points pressure washing domestic homes

Hi, I've just brought a harness,hat 10m rope as a kit with 2x 2m wire to put around the chimney but what do you do when there is no chimney? Sorry but learning as I go.

just fix an anchor at each side of the roof and ty a rope with loops that PJJ mentions.

Hi, yes sorry started roof cleaning on bungalows but obviously needed some safety harnesses to do normal height roofs. Most homes have a chimney, ours doesn't so what do you safely anchor to.

The hooks your advising look great but can they take the shock weight of a body fall..? They say 5000lbs stress is what they test for. 

It seems a great solution, is this the common way with you guys..?

You need anchor points on the ground front front and back of the property but this isn’t a job for someone with no experience , you need to get some formal training , I was in the Fireservice for 30 years so we did this type of thing a lot you need the right equipment and a working knowledge of how to use it safely, you also need a written risk assessment of how you will get someone down if suspended at height , this in it’s self is a major problem as you won’t be able to do it you will be reliant on the Fireservice or other service trained in this , that then causes other issues as someone with suspension injuries needs to be on the ground within 20 muinits : the hse are starting to crack down on this type of accident , this type of work is specialised and shouldn’t be taken lightly, with the greatest of respect if you are having to ask these type of questions you shouldn’t be undertaking this work seek professional training if you are determined to do this type of work
