Decided to stop using my well out of date TFR cleaner for gutters & fascias, So bought some Ubik 2000. And I really like it. Prefer it!

Made quite a strong mix for very green dirty gutters yesterday. Doesn’t get as sticky as Tfr, and after agitating it quickly the green dirt is already becoming loose/soft ready to scrub off with the wfp.

Makes a nice foamy soap on the gutters after agitating. £7 for 5Ls from CleaningSpot

You will find it you use hot water with it then the dirt runs off.

Although ubik is good stuff, if youre looking for something that does pretty much the same job, and stinks less, then screwfix no nonsense degreaser is also good. I’ve been using it more this week this week just gone for Cladding cleaning and a couple of FSG’s. It is considerably cheaper too at 8 quid a bottle you cant go wrong

Yeh I’ve used it before, when some a job with another window cleaner who uses it. Yeh very similar stuff.

Try hot water with any cleaner and you will notice how the reaction time speeds up at removing the dirt, same with dishes.
I’m sure it makes sense but doesn’t the heat destroy the properties in some chemicals? On some bleaches it says specifically to use cold water with them as hot water will render it useless....

I did a test with boiled water on white pvc gutter. Put in dergreaser, ubik and virosol to test which one was best. All mostly the same. My preference was degreaser because it dries white, virosol is good but can dry yellow on hot day. I got 5l Degreaser for £5.98 at screwfix when on sale and bought a few dozen so I'm stuck with it unless it goes off. Need to move it from hut to house in the winter or it will freeze.

That’s good to hear when Im low on my other stocks will give this a try ?
Wanted to give it a good test before recommending it, not tried it on self cleaning glass, but I only use water anyway. Looks a bit like virosol but thicker, sticks well and doesn't stain, mind you ive not let it dry, dwell time around 1-2 mins and its worked it's magic!

Defo sounds Interesting, I still have half a tub of Ubik and half tub screwfix I’m a tfull capacity on the windows so turning down all the add ons ATM and passing them on to a local fella that specialise in cleaning gutters/soffits etc. I’m keeping him in full time work lol.

Is the screwfix degreaser ok on leaded windows?
