Quick fix for extending pole for one off job

Doing softwash, found pole was about 8ft short, strapped clx10 to 1st section of slx35, two jubilee clips n squeegee rubber between poles to protect n add to friction, done the job, im amazed it didnt snap, when i put it off to the side, well worn slx aswell.

Probably a better way to do it, but it was what i thought.

Cable ties might be less likely to cause the pole to be crushed ??

Had bought them as well. But the clips seemed to do the job.
