Hi all,

got conservatory roof and some outside of gutters to do with pole, not using pure for that. Previously ive kept filling a backpack up with the tap water. Yeh, is probably simple, but damned if I can find anything to simply connect pole to outside tap. Its pole hose and male fitting. Is there anything I could get from a local diy place that would connect from that and enable to connect to tap? Or would it be specialist and need ordering from wfp shop? all I managed was to fit the male pole hose fitting into a bit of minibore, that into a bit of garden hose, into a hoselock fitting and onto the tap. Wasnt great as youd imagine, all leaks and falling off. Im sure i'd done it last year but cant work out how as no fittings seem able to do it. cheers for advise

Ive just connected standard type hose connector onto the brass swivel off the minibore hose reel, then some garden hose via obviously standard connector onto garden tap. this works ok, but seems like the connector from minibore hose reel to pole can hardly take it (spray leaking etc) I guess you have to have as little flow as possible out the garden tap as the change in various hoses causes pressure build up as they get steadily smaller diameter. Oh well, see how it goes.

Are you using make rectus 21 connectors on your poles. If yes then you just need a small length of minibore with a female rectus on one end and an 8mm clauber connector on the other end. If you don’t fancy makin it yoursel you can pick one up off eBay for around £10/15.

yeh cheers bud, I had a spare length of minibore and female rectus. I had a claba aquastop too that wasnt being used. the aquastop doesnt tighten right back up, didnt want to force it and maybe break it, but seems to be on enough for the job.

I made this up from bits I had. Can use from mains tap on full with no leaks. Found fan jets work well with this for conny roofsView attachment 14222

what did the blue bit come off? ive got a brown connector looks similar which I think my gardiners pole came with. I cant remember offhand but I think it must,ve been to go into the backpack but as I wanted to use van mount too had to change it. Still got it, might come in useful.

Would using a pole on a tap affect the TDS when using pure? Got a conny roof next week was just going to use my aluminium rubbish brush thing I brought for a tenner. Would be 10 times easier if I can use my CLX

If possible I always connect my pole upto a outside tap to do conny roofs then rinse the roof after with pure water. Any tap water will soon be flushed out with the pure in rinsing

yes exactly bud, I just done a conny roof and must've used a good 150 litres or more, out their tap, into the slx. pure rinse after. Started 7.30am mind coz of this heat. If it had to be pure it would cost them another 15 sheets or so.
