How to undo a 10” filter housing

Hi guys, I’ve got one of my 10” filter housings that seems to be stuck solid. I don’t remember over tightening it but it won’t budge.

Any suggestions as to how to unscrew it please ?

Didn't it come with a custom spanner?

Yes it did, don’t know if it’s swelled in the heat , but it won’t move at all & its got plenty of grease on it. The other pre filter is next to it and that ones fine !!

Weird. Can you fit two spanners on there to really get to use some force? Maybe boiling water on the threads can help, but don't know if the plastic can stand up to that..

Yes use two spanners as I had one that was super tight.

Lay it on the ground with the weight of the other filter against the direction of turn, then tap the fins around gently with a hammer and nylon chisel or wedge of wood. Et voila.

Mine was a bit tight, put the spanner on and used the rubber mallet to loosen it ?
