DI VESSEL PROBLEM

does anyone know why my "riser tube" is now slightly wobbling in the "di vessel head" not much but its causing my tds reading to read 5ppm, its brand new resin too. its 100% the tube and head cos im double di, and ive been switching them over. what can i do to resolve this problem?

If you pull the riser tube out it may have gone oval in shape. Just cut it to where it is circular and insert back in.

thanks i"ll give that a try.would the riser being oval increase the tds reading?

Yes as water coming in from the top will find its way up outside the riser tube hence the ppm reading

hi doug, i tried cutting off the top of the riser, didnt work. it will still wobble around in the head of the vessel. the other vessel s riser doesnt wobble at all. can i buy a new riser and head only? cos the vessel is fine

Yes you can purchase them. Have a look in your di head and see if the "o" ring is missing?

is that ring near the bottom of the head the o ring?

It’s inside if you run your finger inside you should feel it. That’s an odd head where did you get that from

I bought 2 vessels off eBay , reconditioned. Never had a problem in 5 years till now

Yes seems to be 11 litres which are 17” tall
