film on windows

Just had a call to clean windows on a new build windows still have the plastic film on them what is the best method to remove this

Best way is to get them to remove it. If they don't charge them a lot more because you'll be there a long time!
It will mostly peel off, the stuff that doesn't can usually be removed with sticky stuff remover.

Heat gun will work , pvc solvent cleaner and plastic scraper works well if it won’t just peel 

Surely the plastic film would be on the PVC and not the glass??? Normally get stickers on the glass. Think you need to look at the job and quote accordingly. Especially if you have to remove any protective film from the inside frames as well. 

Out to quote tomorrow can only go with what customer has said that its a new build she wants her windows cleaned and the plastic film removed

Surprised the builders didn't get someone to do the whole lot before they handed it over. Maybe knock a few doors whilst you're there!

I personally wouldn't get involved in peeling film off windows. Unless you're really short of work. It's an unknown quantity regarding time, effort and the risk of scratching the glass. I would think that the builder should have had that done prior to hand over. I wouldn't have a clue what time to expect, or price to charge. As the other guys were advising, take care and price high.
