230v shurflo pump into 12v

Got a shurflo pump given me but it’s plug in

i use at moment to transfer water from tank to van but was wondering can it be changed to 12 v

By changing the whole motor assembly. A replacement motor used to cost as much as a replacement pump. Williamson pumps list a part number for a motor but don't list a price for it or availability @Posh

I suppose one could use an inverter?

Could do, but an inverter uses extra current to convert 12v to 230v so this would have to be considered. My guess it would have to be a Pure Sine Wave inverter if he is using a Spring or Varistream controller which is more expensive than the cheaper inverters.
