Univalve and exceed innovation fittings

Just ordered some hose from exceed innovation with univalve and non catch fittings.  Do i put black microbore fittings on Microbore hose then that will connect to end of pole hose then top end near brush same as Gardiners pole hose connects up? 

No idea how the univalve works. The blue thing

Can you not just remove the Gardiner orange microbore from the brush and attach the yellow hose to the brush? Hope you have the univalve on the right way.

Should the univalve be at the bottom of the pole then?

No at the top but I think there is an arrow on the Univalve to show the water direction.
