I've been asked to quote for algae removal on a property before it can be painted. I would be treating with SH. I have only been able to get pictures of Google at present so don't have any of the back of the property. Any guidance on what sort of price would be appreciated Screenshot_20190314_144708.jpgScreenshot_20190314_144756.jpgScreenshot_20190314_144636.jpg

We do lots like this every year price wise £600-1000 depending how bad it is nice little job one person on there own will do that in around 5-6 hours
That much?? Jesus!!! I was thinking around the £400 mark. Saying that, I think he's looking pressure washing too. Would be a nice wee job to get for the portfolio. Haven't done too much of this but it's straightforward enough.

Cheers for the info @Pjj. I'm just about to cut down my hours in my full time job so I can concentrate more on my own stuff so I appreciate your help

This is one we  did  mid terrace was £400 . Most firms charge £1400 per day + vat , don’t undersell yourself we do loads every year , 5 bed detached £1500 , we don’t dont do any softwashing for less than £400 , you do need to explain to the customer what you are going to do sell yourself as a professional to set yourself above the competition, but make sure you know what you are doing , get the appropriate training and Ppe , don’t take all you see on YouTube as fact and right there is a lot of false and dangerous information out there .

Take before and after pictures and use it as a portfolio we have over 500 properties ranging from 2 bed mid terraced to 6 bed detached houses , and some large blocks of flats and hotels that we have done this is invaluable in quoting jobs as you can show them what there properties will look like after the clean we secure 95 % of all quotes we do this way

Would you say it's essential to take maybe a 10% deposit for each job??

We never have as a lot of the work we do is for existing customers , but it’s worth a try ,we also do a lot for schools in the area and there is no way that they would do that , most of the jobs we do pay within our terms of 28 days on commercial, and as soon as the job is finished on domestic . If they didn’t pay we would happily re apply the dirt removed free of charge ????

Would you mind if I used those pictures?? It would just be to show what can be achieved with softwashing.

Yes that’s fine , just a word of caution though make sure you can deliver the results though , try doing your own or family’s properties to get a bit of experience, so you are confident in doing it and charging customers , build up your own portfolio with each job you do , hope it goes ok , put up some pictures on hear of the ones you do

Thank you very much. Yes, I will do.

I went to look at that job the other day. There was a right difference from the pics I had taken off Google. Haven't put a quote in yet though. There's a bit of a garage too but I don't think it would be too bad a wee job to do

Nice little job that but don’t go in to cheap there is a lot of it , looks like it should come up ok the red  algy will need a couple of applications and give it a light rub with wfp brush to agitate and help remove the dirt

Put the quote in at 650....the guy just got back to me saying it's quite a bit higher than others.... Must be the boys looking beer money. Aw well, onwards and upwards!!!

Pity you you didn’t get the job but £650 for that isn’t expensive we would be a grand for that  , keep an eye on the place and see what kind of job they do , I sell my services on quality of work done I openly  tell people I will be dearer  than the competition but they  either want the job done right or not at all , I don’t negotiate on price , this is a softwashing job done by a large professional company look at all the algy still on the wall and all the dead grass I wouldn’t have the nerve to try and charge the customer for that job
