Hi there this is the second time I’ve change my RO in 3 years and the first time I can’t seem to remember how long I have to flush the RO through and does it look like milky water in the waste water?

many thanks

What kind is it? Maybe look on the packaging it came in, didn’t you get any instructions with it?

This has been commented on in detail recently.

The milky waste water is most likely membrane preservative that is pumped into the membrane after manufacture. You have to flush that out.

Doug Atkinson from Daqua did say that some membranes have to be flushed for 6 hours before they work efficiently.
