There is a tip on fire a couple of miles away from us. We can smell it so definitely has been blown this way (fumes not the fire) just wondering if anyone knows if the window cleanliness can be affected by particles that may have come over.

It all depends on whats being burnt and what suspended debris particles are present at the time.

Heat makes debris such as paper float and Ash so there is no definitive answer

Smoke is unburnt particles that rise due to heat. When it cools down it gently falls to earth. You don't want to breathe it in especially if plastic is being burnt because its cancerous.
