Hose clogging in pipe when using pressure washer to clear blockage

Morning all,

I'm working on a commercial job and we need to clear a blocked downpipe around 8-10 metres high.  Diameter of the pipe is 3 inches, we can't access from above but there is an access panel built in to the downpipe at ground level. We've purchased the drain unblocker attachment for our pressure washer but when we start sending the hose up, the metal tip  gets caught on the joining sections of the pipe where the diameter is smaller. For the first 2-3 metres we can wiggle the hose to get the head past it but after that it's harde to control and can't get the tip to move any higher.

Has anyone else had this problem or have any tips to make it work?

Just get some conventional drain rods without using a pigs tail Firstly. Pressure drain jetting relies on thrust back Pressure and it won't propel itself uphill naturally and you don't have a big enough entry point to snake or twist the hose.

If all else fails cable tie the drain jet to the rods and push it up the pipe
