So water is freezing on my custy’s windows today. Is it too cold to work? Will it leave marks? Never had it freeze up before ?

I thought the gas heaters were illegal for wfp and the insurance is null and void?Get a heated system gas £200 or diesel 4k ish im gas never had a issue change the heaters every 2 years
Do you run 2 heaters at once mate ?Get a heated system gas £200 or diesel 4k ish im gas never had a issue change the heaters every 2 years
No m8 my insurance company has covered me for 13kilo bottol and gas heater ?I thought the gas heaters were illegal for wfp and the insurance is null and void?
No m8 one heater ?Do you run 2 heaters at once mate ?
I'm insured for it through A plan for a 9kg propane bottle. If your van blows up they probably wouldn't insure you if you haven't had it gas tested once a year? That's only a thought thoI thought the gas heaters were illegal for wfp and the insurance is null and void?
Did they charge much more for it mate ?No m8 my insurance company has covered me for 13kilo bottol and gas heater ?
No m8 one heater ?
I clean the windows of an ex gas engineer and runs a gas sales company. I told him about these supposed gas bottles blowing up. He told me it’s virtually impossibleI'm insured for it through A plan for a 9kg propane bottle. If your van blows up they probably wouldn't insure you if you haven't had it gas tested once a year? It’s not the gas cylinders that blow up that only happens in a fire , theses cheap gas heaters can have the pilot light go out and some gas can escape then when the pilot light is re lit the gas in the van ignites causing a gas explosion , just look on the internet news there are many pictures of this having happened some pictures have Evan been posted on hear I think @dazmond put up a couple ?.Did they charge much more for it mate ?

Hi Mate. I`m very interested to hear about these gas heaters as I`m looking at upgrading to hot water. £200 seems very affordable. Did you fit it yourself or did you get a specialist to do it? When you get a spare moment please could you show us a photo of your set up?Get a heated system gas £200 or diesel 4k ish im gas never had a issue change the heaters every 2 years

I've only got a 400litre upright tank n one layer of insulation, I'm surprised that the water is still hanging about 50 degrees near end of day, i put my heater on about 10pm at night n its not fully turned up. The van has a layer of insulation, small van, so maybe keeps it cosier. If I wanted warm water sum of the time rather than hot water all the time I would go down the immersion route , I did try a gas boiler for a few weeks but quickly realised that it was an accident waiting to happen , I have a few friends who are gas fitters all said they felt it was not suitable or a safe way to work so I removed it also the gas cylinder should be in a cupboard with vents through the van floor in case of leaks this takes up a lot of room and it’s not something I wanted , you aren't allowed to drive with it running and the gas cylinder is supposed to be turned off between jobs legally and for insurance cover all this made gas a pita as far as I was concerned , immersion heaters are cheap to buy easy and quick to fit and will give some of the benefits of using hot water but water temperature at the brush will never be the same as a diesel or gas boiler and tank temperature will drop during the day by a considerable amount unless the tank is very well insulated or a custom made insulated tank is used ,as an example I had 1000 ltr of water in my tank the other night at 20:00 hours the temperature was 74 degrees , by 8:30 the next morning it had dropped to 22 degrees, the tank isn’t insulated but I was surprised that it had dropped that much , my point is if I was using that water for window cleaning the temperature would have dropped much faster as the volume decreased , Ime not knocking immersion heaters but just saying that you won’t get the same temperature at the brush from that as you will diesel or gas , but on a budget or just to make life easier in the cold weather I think it’s a very cost effective way of heating water and it’s going tk be much better than cold water just above freezing
