Evening lads,

Anyone see any issues with having two float valves on my 500l upright tank in the van. My current one is set about 450l and shuts the water off nicely when it gets to that point.

I’d like to fit a second one lower down at 300l so that I won’t be over the payload when the van is fully loaded with other kit.

I’d control which float valve I’d want to fill to with a tap/valve on a pipe linking the two float valves.

I’m slightly concerned about the lower one leaking on my days where I fill to the higher one.

Cheers

You can get top mounted ones that are differing lengths. Something like this: 200mm Float Switch it fits from top of tank so shouldn't leak and it is 200mm long so it would shut off when water gets within 200mm of top. They do sell different length ones but it should give you an idea?
