Buying a second hand ibc

Buying a second hand ibc and it’s been used for some sort of juice drink .will I still be able to use it for pure water 

I was just thinking of giving it a good rinse out ?!

Mine must have had some petroleum product in it as it was covered on the inside by what seemed like vaseline or wax. Took ages to clean it! I wish I'd got an orange juice one!

Got mine from a gin distillery. Was class. Didn’t even have to clean it. My water smelled of gin for a while tho.
