Hi All

I've just bought a second hand yanmar so I can take on bigger jobs and not struggle with my little petrol Hyundai!

Needed a new battery which I've just got and it runs fine.

Inlet filter is cracked so I've taken this off plan to be running from a buffer tank with a filter anyway.

A few questions

I want an inlet hose that is quick release like the outlet one what do I need to do this?

Top of the engine says 10w 30 oil would the pump be the same but non detergent oil?

Going to change filters and oil any other maintenance I should do before putting it into use?

It has a Lance and hose with a fixed jet I would like recommendations for a Lance with quick release jets and turbo nozzle? (Have this on my smaller washer)

I was going to buy the bin conversion kit from Rutland pumps so if I could get everything I need from them it would be great.

Washer is 170 bar 15lpm interpump ww196 direct drive 10hp diesel yanmar engine.

Thank you

Ask Ben at Rutland what oil the pump should have. It's not normally engine oil, I think it's normally an EP oil (Extreme Pressure). Ben is normally very helpful so ask him about the quick releases you want to do.

Ben at Rutland should be able to sort out all your requirements, he’s very helpful and has a good knowledge

If you wanted it serviced try and find a local small engine repair service centre.

Most garden centres and small towns will have a lawn mower specialist who can service repair and give it a health check.

Double barbed Inline fuel filters are cheap consumables which euro car parts and most motor factors sell.

As mentioned Ben at Rutland pumps or dual pumps will have plenty of lances with fixed jets or QR style quick release fittings.

Its very easy to service yourself and you can tackle it yourself with youtube home learning

How did you get on with this?

It's always good to follow up a post and maybe some feedback from yourself on the pressure washer and your findings.

There seems to be a shortage of stuff now. There was a guy on ebay selling twin turbo lances but doesn't have any now. Can't get fencing for love or money up here now and when it does come in it only lasts a few days.

Well so far I found a manual online with some details so I have changed the

Engine oil 15w40 which I already had

Pump oil SAE30 non detergent

Oil gauze filter, air filter. Not done fuel filter as it's in the tank and that's full of diesel at the moment.

Pump extracted the oil in the end as the drain plug opens onto the frame making a mess!

Used a suction hose and filter to check it all goes ok which it did but now I'm stuck on what to do about this machine.

It's so damm heavy to move 100kg or more so I think even with ramps it will be a job to get in and out of the van. Im toying with a small trailer and bolting in down with a buffer tank but this means more money on a cheap trailer plus tow bar.

Or do I sell it and get something smaller ?

Great progress. They are not that heavy but I guess it's a personal preference. If you were to sell it a replacement such as an evolution 2 is around 70kg I believe and more manageable.

I fitted a small 12v ATV winch with wireless remote control in a van this afternoon for a chap that had a similar issue with weight and loading it.

Hope it all pans out well for you

Kind regards Austin

Aye, that's the reason I keep mine in the van all season. Roll it in on ramps in March and out again in October. Handy having it in the van if I need to give a quick sample of what my money machine can do.?
