quick question guys

my vacs basiclys on its last legs now as the tub has split and held together with gaffer tape-shocking i know but, i'm a yorkshire man and like to get my use out of equipment.

i have been looking at this model but i am unsure of the air flow stats, could anyone say if this is ok?

I actually have the Kiam, converted to side entry, as a spare spare. I bought the Sky Vac Industrial and the side entry casting was dented so they sent me another one. I then repaired the dented one and stuck it on the Kiam. It's lifted tufts out of gutters 30' up on 2 motors and is fairly old. The trolley on mine was plastic so it broke fairly quickly, but that looks sturdier then mine was.

 Wouldn't put anyone off buying one, and still use mine now, occasionally, if I have to go through a house. I would actually tell anyone to buy the Inteceptor but appreciate you probably need £20k+ a year of gutters to justify the outlay, and you being a Yorkshireman would suggest not looking at the price as it would put you off your dinner.

@THL4KEL is the stats king but doesn't appear to come on here much, if at all, lately 

First one the HYUNDAI HYVI10030 is 2.7cubic meters per min = 2700 litres per min 

Second one the Kiam KV80-3 is 120 Ltr/Sec = 7200 litres per min

Just as a comparason the https://guttervacuumsystems.co.uk/product/3600w-80l-gutter-vacuum-triple-motor-and-large-inlet/ at £645 does over 8000 litres per min (with cyclone fitted as supplied) or the GVS Predator does over 10,000 litres per min but that is more £ again.

One question I would find out before buying is how easy are spare motors to get? I would probably lean towards the Kiam as its £150 cheaper than a GVS one as you already have a cyclone to fit. That said the product support from GVS is very good where as the one via Amazon support is an unknown.

I bought a new 3000 watt Vac from Ebay for £199 and changed the inlet to a 51mm one. Can't see any for sale and the prices have doubled maybe because of Brexit. Looks like the days of the cheap vacs are well and truly over.

With respect it's cheap junk, small bore hose, straight inline suction port, no cyclonic angled input so it will clog up

You get what you pay for but buying quality equipment will repay itself where this won't and will most likely cause you more heartache than you expect.

You really need to be investing in equipment and not finding the cheapest price you can in my opinion

He was at mine yesterday vaccing all the debris out of my van tank, I'm sure he will see this

He's converting it to side entry and 51mm pipes. I have had one for many years and it has never failed.

thanks for the replies so far, as part timer has said i'd be converting the vac to side entry and 51mm hose as per what i have now, my vac at the moment has split some of the seams on the tub whilst, i can weld those back up its, how far do you go before you purchase again, things have moved on since i bought the vac and its probably the time to buy a new vac without all the poles n hose, the kiam is looking the way to go but, i don't think i can see any handles on the side of the tub-or am i wrong?

thanks for that @ched999uki think with regards to the motors its got to be some generic ones or brushes can be made to fit if they went pear shaped,  i used amazon as it was just easier to copy and paste if i'm honest as it was on my screen.

if you had read the post austin, i was asking for reccomendations for a replacement vac, i narrowed it down to two to avoid confusion, gutter vacs and flow rates ain't really my thing but i asked because i was sure someone might be able to help in some way or another with regards to flow rates and possibly ease of use,

money for a new vac isn't really a problem but, as i do a domestic service i don't need an all singing and dancing one whereas, if i was commercial then, that would be a different matter.

It's a tipping chassis so lift the plugs round the back up and tip it out, assuming it's the same as mine. You can carry an empty one using the handle on the head.

Would ask first but mine's about 6+ years old so would think if mine was the newer version would be.

Look for one with a metal trolley those plastic ones with small wheels don't last a jot.
