I have a Varistream digital controller and a Shurflo pump. Does anyone know if it damages pump in any way when you turn tap off on pole and Varistream 'pressurises' (P) whilst your fiddling about with hose etc. if left on?

I try not to leave too long, but sometimes can't be avoided whilst re-touting hose etc.

Thanks guys!

Thats the whole idea of the "p" to save the pump!

When it flashes P it means pressure has been hit and pump is not working.

" The Varistream digital controller is designed to automatically shut off the pump whenever you close off the outlet hose, for

example when disconnecting your waterfed pole from the end of the hosepipe"
