Using 2 di's at the mo but picking up more work with 3 story windows & windows above conservators & velux windows so using a lot more pure water so think maybe get a ro system. Now I don't have a clue what to get. Looking at maybe 1000 litres a month which I know is not a great amount but up to June was using 250 a month. Any advise on what to get plus would I need a booster would be welcomed at a budget price.

Maybe don't waist your time on cheap small ro's if you can afford to get a 4040 setup as the way you are going will soon be needing to produce large amounts of pure in the quickest possible time. :Image9:

if you have room then a RO with a 1000lt static tank is good.

I use about 300-400lts a day and have topped up mates 500lt system at times too. here is what I use.

200gpd RO already has booster pump fitted :- £216 inc delivery

(you can upgrade this to a 300gpd at a later date if needed at little cost)

it will need a di vessel after it to polish the water off but you can use one of the ones you have already,

1000lt ibc tank

transfer pump (from ibc to van)

4040's are good for fast producing of water, with a static system for a one man or even 2 man you don't need them.

the best thing about a static system you can leave it running 24hours a day if you need to,

I've never run out of water in the past 2 years of using mine.

friend that I used to work with still use's one of these small RO's as doing 500lts a day water with no problem at all.

4040's are only good if you have to have them mounted in the van or you have a team of window cleaners working for you.

If you have the money and ambition then a 4040 system is a very good investment. You'll never need more. No point paying for a set up to realise you need it to do something it can't.

I have a van mount, fill 350litres in an hour and can be used at customers houses.

Although I have a small round compared to some on here, I'll never need more and whatever job or circumstances arise I'm covered

What's that transfer pump like? I'm struggling to find one that fits in a 6" ibc lid.

like smurf said, I just cut a bigger hole in my tank, not point trying to find a good quick pump that would fit that hole.

That use to be me problem too RC as me pump was rather large when I was a youngster.

Now it's somewhat smaller hiding somewhere under me long beard :Image13:

Thanks for the links rcproperty. That's quite a good price for pumped unit. Some units i've been looking at with pump are £500 ish, but do produce 450 gallons, but it's good to know that it works well for you.
