Best Way To Clean These Kinds Of Windows?

When you have metal (thin on the glass) is it best to use a squeegee then a scim, (on windows similar to below) I found this the quickest way ? I use my old squeegee which I might use on window sill (only 6 incher), the missus says it's this is long enough would you agree?
