New Style Leaded Windows

What's the score with new style leaded windows with pure water?

A new potential customer has modern windows only a year old, one pane of glass but with a leaded grid stuck on the window? On the inside its just plain glass.

Does anyone know if these will give me any issues?

I can't see any problem. Watch out for the older lead double glazed glass though, the ones that first came out. The lead comes off the glass on those sometimes.

What actual problems do leaded windows cause? Just out of curiosity

you sometimes get white staining that can be hard to shift plus the lead can peel off if its a cheap window or your too rough!

I use a soft flocked brush from Gardiner. You can scrub as hard as you like its great for leaded windows.

If i use a normal dual trim Gardiner brush or similar you can hear it scrubbing. Thats how you rip lead off.

As for the OP. I clean countless leaded windows and all are fine BUT old wooden leaded windows can be a pain!
