You will also need some of this. This is similar to pipe lagging, but it came off a pack of tiles a customer had thrown out.

My roof bars are already coated in plastic Tuffers....

Anyhow what are you trying to protect by doing that the roof bars, ladders or both?

those foam pads are from house builders - they are used to when transporting balustrades on stairways /emoticons/wink.png
