they use same amount of water just a different shape on the nozzle pencil jets are round hold and fan jets are not circle hole more of a straight line if that make sense
You can set the actual ‘water flow rate’ the same, for either fan or pencil jets (depending on the sizes of jets available).
Depending on the users, you can use more water with fans because they can be slower to use overall, i.e. you spend more time cleaning, so you use more water.
