There was some research done on these somewhere and as much as they are good and handy they are not used as much as people would think. You see them a lot more these days but when is the last time you saw one on a poster van etc and scanned it? Did you scan it or just google the service?

I dont think I have ever used this type of service. Grab phone, open app, try to get the thing in focus. Sod about.

Yeah totally agree lads i myself would just google the service because I haven't the app in the phone like a lot of people, doubt it will really take off for that reason, but you never know starting to see them more and more over here

When they first appeared QR codes were used on everything,.. but ppl soon realised that it takes longer to open the app and scan the code than just type the web address!!

The only place I'd use QR codes is for promotions/special offers - the "Scan this QR code to see your personalised offer" gimmick - - use it to make ppl feel special, like they're following a "secret" link, get them curious & get them onto your website. Even that is an old trick now & most ppl won't bother.
