Water pump wont stop pumping

Hi guys,

Ive just attached a new 20 meter length of hose to my pump. Turned the power on and the water came out no problem. Switched the power off and the water still kept pumping even tho the pump was off ?? is this an air in the tubes problem ?? any ideas ??

When you say "water still kept pumping", can you still hear the pump running after you've turned off the power or is it just that water still continues to flow?

If the pump goes quiet it will just be water that's left over in the hose that's continuing to flow and you'll need to use a valve of some sort to stop the flow. Eg rectus 21, push fit tap etc.
