leaving barrels in the sun

Got ten barrels i keep pure water in which I buy for trolley. kept them in garage, but recently outside- will they get damaged in the sun outside? Not in the sun all day as next to fence, but do get some sun, problem? Cover with a blue tarpaulin?

Best to keep them out of direct sunlight.....either cover over with 'Tarpaulin Sheet' or build a little 'lean-too' shed type thingy aganst the fence.
