Decent and cheapest should never be used in the same sentence, buy cheap buy twice always comes to mind , a good pump aquatec, or sureflow will set you back around £80-95 don’t forget to fit a filter before the pump as well .
Once you start thinking this way, then you open yourself up to buying rubbish as price is your main influencer, as @Pjj says.

If I was starting from scratch then I would look further down the page for a complete pump, strainer, fittings and V16 controller for £215.00

When buying things that are more expensive, part of the price will be paying for the brand name. But also its because its a better quality. If the cheap options were just as good then they would be put of buisness in no time. When it comes to work I'd honestly try and get decent equipment. The time you save in the long run far outweighs the original saving.
